The return of the RHOA: Season Six

If you’re a Real Housewives of Atlanta fan like me, then you’re be happy to know that there is going to be a season six and all the women will be returning.

It has been stated that all the ladies have already signed their contacts.

On Leaks returning, the source said: “NeNe is definitely going to be back because, of course, she’s the star and, even though she has other jobs, RHOA wouldn’t be the same without her!” Leakes's value hasn't translated just into ratings but into a huge raise as well. She will be the highest-paid Atlanta housewife, getting a reported $1 million for her return.

Can you believe NeNe Leakes is getting paid $1 million dollars for the show?

In the words of Leaks, “I’m rich B!t*#.”

The news comes as the reunion shows for Season Five are beginning to air. While the final part of the reunion won’t air until next week, word has leaked that there will be a huge confrontation between Phaedra Parks and Kenya Moore.  Kenya is accused of propositioning Phaedra’s hubby, Apollo, for sex.

"Let’s get this clear, my husband just asked her for advice on an acting coach,” Parks is reported to have said. “Kenya continued to text him, saying, 'Oh, you look nice.'” No word on if the exchange goes beyond words, but Kenya is said to defend herself from the claims.

Don’t miss the reunion part 2 Sunday on Bravo.

Comment and let me know how you feel about the cast of the RHOA, and your favorite cast mate.

Cynthia Bailey, Kandi Burruss, Porsha Stewart, Phaedra Parks, Kenya Moore and, yes, NeNe Leakes

Reebox drop Rick Ross

Is it true Reebok cut all ties with Maybach Music Group commander-in-chief Rick Ross?

Rock Ross stir up tension with some of his song lyrics on Rocko’s “U.O.E.N.O”, in which it seem to imply he drug and take advantages of women. The lyrics are as follow:

"Put Molly all in the champagne. She ain't even know it / I took her home and enjoyed that. She ain't even know it."

Sources say, Reebok explained their decision to part ways with the multi-platinum rapper.

"Reebok holds our partners to a high standard, and we expect them to live up to the values of our brand. Unfortunately, Rick Ross has failed to do so."

The statement continued, "While we do not believe that Rick Ross condones sexual assault, we are very disappointed he has yet to display an understanding of the seriousness of this issue or an appropriate level of remorse."

However, Ross did apologize for the lyrics on New Orleans radio station Q93, and he said he did not use the word rape in his lyrics.

Ross also posted a statement via Twitter, "Apologies to my many business partners who would never promote violence against women." The controversial lyrics have since been removed from the song, but critics continue to lambast the bearded baritone.

Fellow rappers Meek Mill and Tyga have come to Ross' defense, and said it’s just a song and he has the right to freedom of speech. But there are others that feel Ross should be held accountable for his choice of words.

Underage drinking leads to another raped victim

Lately in the news there have been several rape cases, due to young female drinking under the age and their fellow peers taking advantage of them.

No one want to wake up the next day after a party, to find out they was rape and have no knowledge this horrible event happened.

In a recent case in California, a teenager girl woke up after a party to find drawing on her body and private area. She later found out that pictures of the event was posted on social sites, and shown to other students at her school.

The incident happened at an unsupervised house party in Saratoga, California, in September, but the three 16-year-olds were arrested Thursday, said Santa Clara Sheriff's Office spokesman Jose Cardoza.

After learning that photos had been posted on the Internet, the 15-year-old Potts wrote in an online post that her life was ruined. A few days later, she took her own life.

The three unidentified boys face two felony and one misdemeanor charge of sexual battery, Cardoza said. Formal charges will come next week.

As a whole we have to bring awareness to underage drinking. Teenagers don’t realize alcohol has an age requirement for a reason. Not to say, women over the age of 21 haven’t been rape, due to consuming to much to drink.

This is as horrible event that’s becoming more current in the news and in today’s society. Many rape victims doesn’t come forward and speak out. In recent case the rapist are trying to humiliate the victims by posting pictures online or sharing them with friends. In this case, she was raped and unfortunately she took her own life.

As parents, you have to supervise your kids. However, in today’s times it’s hard to keep up with teenagers and the things they do. Many parties teenagers attend are unsupervised, where they are drinking alcohol, smoking weed, and taking mollies.

It want be easy, but we must rise to the challenge. Let’s take back our streets and our kids.

It’s illegal to drive and use the GPS on your cellphone

Do you use the GPS/Navigation on your phone to get direction? Well you might want to read this article.

A California appellate court has ruled that using the GPS or mapping functionality on a phone is a moving violation, and it’s just like texting while driving. Steven Sriggs, the defendant in the case, was pulled over for using a phone while operating a motor vehicle, but he wasn’t texting or making a call — he was looking at a map.

The court has now ruled that since Spriggs was, as the law states, “using a wireless telephone” and that it wasn’t “configured to all hands-free listening or talking” the action was illegal.

“This case requires us to determine whether using a wireless phone solely for its map application function while driving violates Vehicle Code section 23123. We hold that it does,” the California v. Spriggs court ruling reads.

The court ruled that any activity on the phone that could be distracting to a driver falls under the law. “Our review of the statute’s plain language leads us to conclude that the primary evil sought to be avoided is the distraction the driver faces when using his or her hands to operate the phone,” the ruling reads. “That distraction would be present whether the wireless telephone was being used as a telephone, a GPS navigator, a clock or a device for sending and receiving text messages and emails.”

You might want to think twice before using your phone to obtain direction. I recommend you get  a GPS device or a car phone stand for your phone.

What Hollywood Actress is Pregnant ?

Is it true Halle Berry is expecting her second child at age 46? Yes, the rumors are true, Ms. Berry is pregnancy. For those of you not familiar with Ms. Berry, she is an actress in B.A.P.S, Monster Ball, Cat Women, The Perfect Stranger, and many more.

The Academy Award-winning actress and fiancĂ© Olivier Martinez are expecting their first child together.

"I thought I was kind of past the point where this could be a reality for me. So it's been a big surprise and the most wonderful," the actress said.

In the interview with CNN's Alina Cho, Berry said she did not know if she was having boy, as some other media outlets have reported.

The actress said last year that her daughter, Nahla, had been hoping for a younger sibling, and the 4-year-old is finally getting her wish.

“God, please bring me a bunk bed and a baby sister,’” she said last fall. “I say, ‘I can do one of those things, I know for sure. The other one, we’ve got to keep praying on, Nahla says.

Berry recently teamed up with designer Michael Kors to fight hunger through the United Nations World Food Programme.

I guess we’ll have to wait and see what Ms. Berry and her fiancĂ© are expecting.

Morning-after pill available without prescription

A federal judge in Brooklyn, New York, has ordered the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to make the morning-after birth control pill available to people of any age without a prescription.

The order overturned a 2011 decision by Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to require a prescription for girls under 17.
The morning after pill is design to terminate a pregnancy, only a day after intercourse when semen was released inside the female.
Teen pregnancy is an ongoing and upraising issue in society today. The morning after pill can help stop unintended pregnancy.
However, we should be promoting safe and protected safe and this pill wouldn’t be a high demand.
Just because this pill doesn’t need a prescription it is very expensive. At the local CVS, this pill is about $ 54 dollars.
In my opinion, it’s cheaper to buy a condom, than to end up needing a Plan B pill.
Friday's order came in response to a lawsuit launched by the Center for Reproductive Rights. The group was seeking to expand access to all brands of the morning-after pill over the counter, such as Plan B One-Step and Next Choice, so that women of all ages would be able to purchase them without a prescription

Atlanta Public School Cheating Scandal

The Atlanta Public School system and the cheating scandal have been an up roaring issue for a couple years now.
About 35 former district employees were indicted on racketeering and other charges Friday as part of one of the nation’s largest cheating scandals.
Late Monday evening, about a dozen Atlanta children, parents and community activists praised the recent indictments of several former school administrators.
The group, organized by Trump Tight, a self-described parent activist group, chanted “Save our schools,” and “Shame, APS” in front of local television news crews and passersby.
This story hit home because I attended Thomasville Elementary, Price Middle, and South Atlanta High school all school in which are Atlanta Public Schools.
Like many students I didn’t like taking the CRCT, nor the Georgia Graduation Test (GGT), but these tests was put into place for us to take before we were promoted to the next grade.
Retired Atlanta public schools superintendent Beverly Hall will have to pay a $200,000 bond to be released from jail, far less than the $7.5 million bond a grand jury recommended, said her attorney, David J. Bailey. He said $150,000 of that amount will be a signature bond, and $50,000 is a cash bond.
Former Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin finds this uproar about the Atlanta cheating scandal disturbing, and she shared a couple thoughts.
Yes, cheating is awful. And so is conviction before a fair trial. I believe every accused person deserves a fair trial under a set of laws that promises to be just and balanced.

"I don’t support public hangings. It is barbaric. Never have and never will. I didn’t in the horrendous Nichols and Johnston murder cases, though some of my political advisors thought I could improve my voter favorability if I did.

"I didn’t then and I won’t now. The eagerness to convict someone cannot take precedence over our demand and respect for the fundamental legal principle that everyone who is charged has a right to a fair trial with competent representation….

"How else do we protect our democracy than to demand respect of the principles of fairness and justice even in challenging times? …[S]ay a prayer for a fair trial for all those charged, say a prayer for every family and child who has been touched by the scandal and say a prayer to calm the public lynching mob mentality that has begun. In times like this, reflection and soul-searching are powerful tools to ground our actions and decision-making."
All of the 35 educators indicted in the Atlanta Public Schools cheating scandal have been booked into the Fulton County Jail, with the final defendant turning herself in Wednesday afternoon.
Stay tune for more updates on the ongoing issue.

Reality Tv destroy another marriage

Do you think being on television has ruin yet another marriage? Porsha Stewart and Kordell Stewart are apparently getting a divorce.

The former NFL quarterback filed papers last week claiming that the couple is now separated and their marriage is "irretrievably broken."

The couple does not have a prenup, despite Kordell's NFL past but he is already contesting paying alimony to Porsha.

Documents Stated: "[She's] an able-bodied person, earning income and is capable of supporting herself." His filing also says there are no marital assets to divide.

Kordell's attorney released a statement saying he hopes "everyone understands" it was a “very difficult decision." "Kordell’s ongoing concern has been and remains his son’s best interest.” Kordell has a son from a previous relationship.

Watching both Kordell and Porsha interact with each other on the show (Real Housewives of Atlanta), I thought they were the perfect couple and the best married couple on the show.

Many had concerns about Kordell being controlling, but Porsha stated that their marriage is very traditional.

If their marriage is so traditional why Kordell is filing for divorce, shouldn’t he go to the living room calm down and work it out.

From watching the show I could see growth in Porsha, she is one of favorite cast members from the RHOA, (and Kandi) and I know she will go far and do great things.
